Liverty celebrate Volunteers Week 2018
During national Volunteers Week 2018 (1 – 7 June), our staff and customers will mark the occasion with continued volunteering investment in community projects, partnerships, grants and community development work throughout the south west.
Volunteers Week provides Liverty with the opportunity to say thank you for the fantastic contribution that our volunteers make.
Leanda Flower Community Investment and Engagement Manager said: ‘’Being part of Volunteers Week is very important to Liverty as there are so many great stories to be told about the work taking place in our communities. We want to celebrate the contributions made by our volunteers and those that dedicate their time to make a real difference. We are sharing some of these stories throughout the week to highlight these amazing people and projects.’’
Volunteers Week was established in 1984 by Volunteering England, which merged with NCVO in 2013 and the NCVO now leads this UK-wide campaign.
